Estoril Classics returns to the Autódromo do Estoril on 3–5 October 2025 for its 9th edition, and this year it will host an unprecedented celebration: one of the largest gatherings of Formula 1 cars ever seen in Portugal, marking the 75th anniversary of the World Championship in motorsport’s premier category cars.
In addition to the eagerly awaited Classic GP, where pre-1986 single-seaters battle for victory and glory, the event will feature a unique showcase and exhibition bringing together F1 cars from every decade. Visitors will experience a journey through the evolution of motorsport, from the pioneers of the 1950s to the sophisticated machines of the 21st century, including the golden era of naturally aspirated engines and the technological transitions that shaped generations. For the public, it will be a rare opportunity to see some of the most iconic cars in F1 history side by side—machines normally confined to museums or private collections.
The Autódromo do Estoril serves as a highly symbolic backdrop for this tribute. The Portuguese circuit is deeply intertwined with Formula 1 history and has hosted moments that have captured the imagination of millions of fans. In 1984, Niki Lauda secured his third World Championship here, in one of the sport’s most dramatic finales, narrowly beating Alain Prost by just half a point. A year later, in 1985, the wet tarmac of Estoril witnessed the emergence of Ayrton Senna’s legend, as he claimed his first F1 victory in a black-and-gold Lotus, displaying masterful control and daring in heavy rain—a precursor to his legendary career.
In 1987, the circuit once again wrote a golden chapter when Alain Prost claimed his twenty-eighth victory, surpassing Jackie Stewart’s all-time record and becoming the most successful driver in F1 history at that time. Then in 1993, Estoril hosted another milestone, as Prost celebrated his fourth World Championship in a race won by Michael Schumacher in a Benetton Ford.

The list of memorable moments is extensive and underlines the mythical status that Estoril holds on the Formula 1 map. Each decade has left an indelible mark, and this October, that legacy will come to life in the paddock and on the track, through the very presence of the mechanical protagonists that shaped these stories.
The unprecedented gathering of single-seaters at Estoril Classics 2025 will not be a static display: it will be a close-up spectacle, where fans can admire the engineering that brought glory to the sport, hear engines awaken memories, and feel the vibration of decades of innovation and courage. This celebration aims not only to honour 75 years of Formula 1 cars but also to reaffirm the Autódromo do Estoril as one of the great global stages in the sport’s history.
The single-seater engines will roar into life on Friday, 3 October, with free practice and qualifying sessions. The first race will take place on Saturday at 17:05, followed by the second on Sunday at 14:05, in line with the schedule already released.

Fans and spectators will be able to witness the evolution of some of these remarkable machines, with free access to the grandstand along the main straight. However, access to the Paddock will be ticketed and limited. Online sales opened on 25 July and will continue until 23:59 on 2 October. Over the past three years, demand has been so high that most tickets sold out well before the event. Should any tickets remain, they may be purchased at the Autódromo do Estoril box office from 3 to 5 October, between 09:00 and 18:00.
To offer a closer experience with the teams and key figures, Paddock tickets are available in several options: €20 for Friday, €35 for Saturday or Sunday, and €60 for a three-day pass. These tickets grant access to restricted paddock areas, allowing fans to observe car preparation up close and soak in the unique behind-the-scenes atmosphere of the event. Children up to 15 years old can enter the Paddock free of charge when accompanied by an adult holding a valid ticket.
