Miguel Oliveira's winning bike in the Estoril Classics

- Bike that took Miguel Oliveira to MotoGP glory in the paddock

- Fans can learn the secrets of the spectacular KTM RC16

Would you like to get a close-up view of the bike that Miguel Oliveira rode to victory in the 2021 Catalunya Grand Prix? You'll have the opportunity to see it up close in the Estoril Classics paddock during the event scheduled for October 6, 7, and 8.

This year, the iconic machines of the world of motorcycling are making a return to what is one of the largest classic events globally, featuring the participation of The Amicable Spirit of Speed, a European club dedicated to preserving the historic two-wheeled racing machines.

For this year's edition of Estoril Classics, this organization is presenting the splendid KTM RC16, the very bike that Miguel Oliveira competed with in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship, securing his acclaimed victory at the Catalunya Grand Prix.

This Austrian-built bike raced between 2016 and 2022, during which time it led Portuguese ace Miguel Oliveira to victory five times and South Africa’s Brad Binder to victory twice, in addition to securing eighteen podium finishes shared by the Portuguese, the South African, and Pol Espargaró.

The remarkable power of over 265 horsepower generated by the 1000cc V4 engine capable of revving up to 18500 rpm played a crucial role in achieving these results, effortlessly propelling a lightweight tubular chassis weighing just 160 kg.

The awe-inspiring KTM RC16 will be on display in the Estoril Classics paddock as one of its many attractions. Over the weekend, Miguel Oliveira's bike will be exhibited for enthusiasts to examine closely, with The Amicable Spirit of Speed on hand to unveil some of the technological secrets that contributed to Miguel Oliveira's triumphs in the world's most prestigious two-wheeled championship, which he clinched five times.

This serves as yet another reason to consider making a pilgrimage to the Autódromo do Estoril on October 6, 7, and 8. The event's schedule also features the return of Formula 1 to Portugal, the Iberian Historic Endurance, and various Peter Auto competitions, which will bring to our country cars that have played pivotal roles in the history of global motorsport, spanning from the 1950s to nearly the present day.

Tickets for the paddock are already available for purchase (on the official Estoril Classics website, through BoL, and also at FNAC, Worten, El Corte Inglês, and CTT Correios). Given the anticipated attendance of over 30,000 spectators, the organization foresees the tickets selling out before the event begins.

Admission to the paddock will be priced at 20 euros on Friday and 30 euros on the other days, or an all-inclusive price of 50 euros for access throughout the entire event, granting holders access to the "Food & Brand Village," while entry to Grandstand A is free of charge.

The 2023 Estoril Classics exhibition possesses all the elements to captivate motorcycle enthusiasts and their families alike, promising a weekend dedicated to celebrating the fervor for motorsport in Cascais.
